1.  Data Policy

Important: please read.

With the new data laws which commenced on May 25th 2018 (GDPR), organisations like Local Know have to comply.
Local Know will be known as Local Know for short, but everyone subscribing will be members of The Local Know Community Club.

New members providing their First Name, Last Name and eMail Address will be made aware of The Local Know Community Club’s data policy.

In order to comply with GDPR, The Local Know Club is obliged to tell you that the data held by The Local Know Community Club for each member is First Name, Last Name, eMail Address and that the Data Processor and Controller is Mark Staniszewski. The Local Know Community Club may subsequently record your attendance at any events which may be organised and interests you may have. The Local Know Community Club also knows when you first became a member and signed up to receive Local Know Community Club Newsletter and information eMails and note that if a request to unsubscribe is been made by anyone, it will be implemented.

The Local Know Community Club’s data retention policy under GDPR is to hold your data for ten years from the date you became a member unless you unsubscribe or at a future date reapply to become a member of The Local Know Club at which point the ten years starts again. If, under GDPR, you want all data that The Local Know Community Club holds about you to be deleted, please use the Contact Us form on www.localknow.co.uk to advise The Local Know Community Club. If you are happy to just unsubscribe, then an unsubscribe link is available at the bottom of every eMail sent to you. This is then automatically done by MailChimp the email programme used by The Local Know Community Club (or other eMail sending software that The Local Know Community Club may choose to use) such that you will not receive further eMails from The Local Know Community Club unless you reapply.
